We are seeking an enthusiastic, reflective, and skilled Teacher of Individuals and Societies to join our secondary team. The successful candidate will initially teach Grades 6, 7, and 8 and will play an active role in shaping curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment during the school s founding phase.This is a generalist role, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach across the full Individuals and Societies domain, including History and Geography, and may also teach related areas such as economics, civics, and global studies, depending on curriculum needs. The role suits a teacher who values interdisciplinary thinking and is confident supporting students to understand people, places, systems, and societies in local, regional, and global contexts.Key responsibilitiesDeliver high-quality Individuals and Societies teaching across multiple disciplines, including History and GeographyPlan learning that develops historical thinking, geographical understanding, and social and civic awarenessSupport students to explore key concepts such as change, continuity, systems, identity, sustainability, and global interactionContribute to the development of an engaging and coherent interdisciplinary curriculumPlan for inclusion, challenge, and support to ensure all learners can succeedUse assessment and feedback effectively to support progress, reflection, and critical thinkingMaintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and relationshipsContribute to co-curricular activities, enrichment opportunities, and wider school lifeWork collaboratively within the secondary team and across subject areasBuild strong relationships with students, families, and colleaguesEngage in professional learning and contribute to ongoing school improvementDesired Candidate ProfileHold a recognised teaching qualification and meet KHDA teacher requirementsbr> Have experience teaching Individuals and Societies, History, Geography, or related subjects at lower secondary levelbr> Be confident teaching across multiple areas within Individuals and Societies as a generalistbr> Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practicebr> Be reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvementbr> Share a strong commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeingbr> Enjoy working as part of a founding team and contributing to school developmentbr> Be willing to offer ECAs and support enrichment opportunities, including camps and community initiativesbr> Be motivated by future leadership opportunities as the school grows
