Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior HSE professional to perform the role of Technical Safety Manager for large-scale engineering and industrial projects. This position requires strong expertise in process safety, loss prevention, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, along with the ability to lead and manage HSE systems within complex, multi-disciplinary project environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Technical Safety and HSE functions throughout engineering, construction, and operational phases
  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE Management Systems in alignment with international standards
  • Conduct and oversee loss prevention and process safety studies, including HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, FERA, SIL, LOPA, Bowtie Analysis, and fire and explosion risk assessments
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE regulations, ADNOC requirements, and international standards such as OSHA, NFPA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
  • Interface effectively with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, and regulatory authorities
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Review and approve safety philosophies, design safety reports, and technical safety documentation
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement of safety culture
  • Support audits, inspections, and management review processes

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline preferred)
  • 12-15 years of relevant experience in HSE, loss prevention, or technical safety roles
  • Proven experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, power, or heavy engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of process safety engineering and risk assessment methodologies
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Prior experience working on Abu Dhabi or UAE-based projects is strongly preferred
