Python Developer – Generative AI Projects in Lisbon

Flow & Digital delivers a broad selection of IT Services and Systems to the front office business lines of Global Markets including a range of Generative AI services. AI-Chat, Coding Assistant and specialised business use-cases.

Purpose & Scope of role

  • F&D requires a dynamic developer to join the team delivering a wide set of AI Services.

  • GenAI applications are mix of traditional system development paired with new technologies such as Large Language Models and high-power Graphic Processing Units – LLM & GPU.

  • This role will build traditional IT applications that leverage Generative AI Services

  • This is a developer role but includes a large amount of coordination, communicating and adapting to dynamic circumstances. The successful candidate will have superior initiative and drive to adapt to challenges faced each day – technical and organisational.

Location: Lisbon-based but you will work with colleagues in all main locations globally.

Key Responsibilities of role

  • To work as a developer in the Generative AI team which is split between London and Lisbon

  • Participate in an agile based software development lifecycle including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing, code reviews and working with infrastructure teams as needed.

  • Supporting the Generative AI platform service and ensuring its availability and continuous improvement to new language models and techniques and use cases.

  • Proactively manage all issue facing the team – technical, functional or organisational.

Experience, Qualifications & Competencies

Strong experience in Python programming

  • Understanding of design & architecture principles, common data structures and algorithms complexity

  • Ability to work as a part of a globally distributed team

Skills:

  • Python (3+ years)

  • Backend development

  • Good written and spoken English

Additional skills as a plus:

  • Good knowledge of JS/TS, HTML, CSS with experience in (either) React/Angular/Vue or other fwk

  • Experience with Django/ FastAPI

  • Experience in development and delivery of modern WebUI stack using modern development practices and high level of processes automation

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker

  • Experience in cloud technologies

  • Experience with relational DB / SQL skills

  • Knowledge of AI/ML model integration and fine-tuning

Job Type: Full-time
