The Authors is a fast-growing holiday homes and hospitality management company operating across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.
We manage curated, design-led apartments and villas, delivering hotel-level service with a strong focus on guest experience, consistency, and operational discipline.
We are building a professional front desk and guest experience function that reflects our brand values: clarity, responsiveness, and reliability.
Role Purpose
The Front Desk / Guest Experience Officer is the first point of contact between our guests and The Authors.
This role is responsible for managing guest communication, supporting check-in and stay coordination, and ensuring a smooth, professional guest journey from booking to checkout.
This is a
coordination and communication role
, not a housekeeping, maintenance, or management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle guest communication before, during, and after stays via Airbnb, , WhatsApp, phone, and internal systems
- Coordinate check-in and check-out procedures, including access instructions and timing
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and issues in a calm, professional, and timely manner
- Escalate maintenance or operational issues to the relevant internal teams and follow up until resolution
- Update guest records, notes, and communication logs accurately
- Support occupancy flow by coordinating with operations, cleaning, and management teams
- Maintain a high standard of written and verbal communication aligned with The Authors' tone and brand
Role Scope & Boundaries
This role focuses on:
- Guest communication
- Front desk operations
- Coordination and follow-up
This role does
not
include:
- Performing cleaning or maintenance tasks
- Managing staff
- Making financial or pricing decisions
Working Hours & Shifts
- Full-time position
- Fixed daily shift with occasional flexibility during high-occupancy periods
- Weekly off days as per company policy
Exact shift details will be discussed during onboarding.
Requirements
- Previous experience in front desk, hospitality, guest services, or customer support
- Strong written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus)
- Comfortable using WhatsApp, booking platforms, and basic systems
- Calm under pressure and able to handle multiple conversations professionally
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and well-organized
- Based in the UAE or willing to relocate
