Role Overview

The
Application Engineer – Mechanical
owns end-to-end
work order processing
and technical enablement for standard and customized HVAC products. The role prepares accurate
BOMs
,
catalogues
,
IOMs
, and
technical data/specification sheets
; evaluates
SKM Selection Software
outputs and catalogue ratings; and executes product customization via the
CRF (Contract Review Form)
to meet customer and project specifications. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, OPT/Production, and Design to deliver
on-time, first-time-right
outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Work Order Processing

• Prepare
  work orders
  for standard and customized jobs within agreed timelines and quality gates.
• Select
  materials and components
  per project specifications/design guidelines; propose
  alternatives from existing inventory
  to improve delivery.
• Verify
  wiring diagrams
  prepared by draughtsmen during order processing.
• Maintain a complete
  job history database
  ; process
  modification requests
  and CRF updates.
• Coordinate with
  OPT/Production
  and
  Sales
  to resolve work-order issues and ensure readiness for manufacturing.

Technical Documentation (BOM, Catalogues, IOM & Data Sheets)

• Prepare accurate
  Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  and
  item codes
  per SKM nomenclature.
• Develop/update
  catalogues
  ,
  Installation, Operation & Maintenance (IOM) manuals
  ,
  technical data sheets
  , and
  item specification sheets
  for standard and non-standard products.

Software & Ratings

• Check and evaluate
  SKM Selection Software
  outputs and
  catalogue ratings
  to confirm compliance with design rules, capacity, and performance targets.
• Prepare/maintain
  databases
  required for software development and updates; raise improvement requests where needed.

Customization via CRF (Contract Review Form)

• Modify and customize products in line with
  customer requirements
  through the
  CRF process
  .
• Prepare
  technical data
  and
  mechanical diagrams
  for
  non-standard products
  with support from design engineers.
• Provide
  technical submittals
  and clarifications to Sales/Clients for project approvals.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree
  in
  Mechanical Engineering
  or
  Electromechanical Engineering
  .
• 1–3 years
  of relevant experience in HVAC application/design/manufacturing.

Knowledge

• HVAC equipment design
  , testing, and diagnostics.
• Component selection & design
  for HVAC systems.
• HVAC regulations and standards
  (regional & international).

Skills & Experience

• Hands-on
  HVAC application/design
  experience within an
  AC manufacturing
  environment; exposure to
  process & product improvements
  .
• Experience with
  certification
  of HVAC products to regional/international standards (advantage).
• Strong
  analytical and problem-solving
  skills; effective
  communication
  with cross-functional teams and customers.
• Proficient in
  Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
