Job Title: QA/QC Manager – Construction Industry
Job Summary
The QA/QC Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Assurance and Quality Control system across all project disciplines, including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and MEP works. The role ensures that all materials, installations, and workmanship conform to project specifications, international standards, and client expectations. This position oversees inspections, audits, testing, documentation, and quality team performance to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management & Compliance - Oversees the development and implementation of project-wide quality plans, procedures, and ITPs for all Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and MEP works, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards, conducting audits with timely corrective actions, and maintaining an integrated QA/QC system in coordination with engineering, construction, and HSE teams.
Inspections & Testing - Coordinates all inspections and testing across structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, MEP, and infrastructure works, including review of technical submittals, management of third-party testing, and leading the issuance and closure of NCRs and quality observations through root cause analysis.
Documentation & Reporting - Ensures accurate maintenance and control of all QA/QC documentation and discipline-specific records while preparing regular quality performance reports for management and client submission.
Team Leadership - Leads and mentors a multi-disciplinary QA/QC team, providing training and guidance while fostering a strong quality culture across all departments and subcontractors.
Client Coordination - Acts as the primary liaison for all quality-related matters, providing updates in coordination meetings and supporting technical teams in resolving multi-disciplinary site issues to ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 15+ years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry, with solid exposure to Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and MEP disciplines.
- Proven experience managing quality on infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and codes.
- Professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CQE, or equivalent is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of multi-disciplinary construction methods and systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, QA/QC management systems, and project management tools.
