Role Overview

We're seeking a Backend Developer to help design and scale the core systems behind our credential verification platform.

You'll be responsible for building secure, high-performance services that issue and validate academic records — ensuring reliability and transparency for institutions, students, and employers.

This role begins as a 3-month contract (AED 5,000/month) with the opportunity to transition into a full-time salaried position after a 90-day performance review.

Key Responsibilities


• Develop, optimize, and maintain backend services for credential creation and verification.


• Integrate blockchain and secure timestamping technologies.


• Design and document RESTful APIs and data workflows.


• Collaborate with front-end, product, and operations teams to deliver new features.


• Implement strong authentication, encryption, and data protection practices.


• Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code for scalability and future expansion.

Requirements


• 2–4 years of experience in backend development.


• Strong skills in , Python, React


• Experience with MongoDB and scalable database design.


• Familiarity with API development, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).


• Understanding of blockchain or distributed ledger technologies is a plus.


• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications


• Experience building or integrating educational technology or credentialing systems.


• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).


• Understanding of cryptography or digital signature frameworks.
