The Manager Investments, M&A will be responsible for driving the investment and M&A strategy of the holding company, executing both buy-side and sell-side transactions, and conducting comprehensive financial and strategic analysis to maximize portfolio value.

Job Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the full M&A transaction lifecycle from target identification, due diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, to closing, for both acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Develop detailed financial models (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions) to support investment decisions and valuation assessments.
  • Conduct in-depth industry and market research to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities and strategic partnerships in alignment with the company's growth objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional due diligence teams (legal, financial, operational) during the transaction process.
  • Prepare and present investment proposals, board papers, and strategic recommendations to the CFO and executive management.
  • Assist the CFO in portfolio management activities, including monitoring the performance of existing investments and identifying value creation opportunities.
  • Negotiate key transaction terms and legal documentation (e.g., term sheets, SPAs) with external advisors and counterparties.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network within the UAE and regional investment community to source deals and gather market intelligence.
  • Contribute to the post-acquisition integration planning and execution to ensure a smooth transition and realization of projected synergies (Buy-Side).
  • Oversee the preparation of marketing materials (e.g., teasers, information memoranda) for sell-side processes and managing interactions with potential buyers.

Key Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field; an MBA or Master's degree is highly desirable.
  • Must hold CFA Certification.
  • Must have a minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a similar M&A focused role.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing both buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with proficiency in advanced Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial issues clearly to senior management and external stakeholders.
