service
organization to appoint its next
Vice President, GRC & IA
for Dubai, UAE.

The Vice President of GRC and IA will lead the design, implementation, and oversight of the organization's governance, risk management, compliance, and IA functions across the Middle East region. This executive will work closely with the Board of Directors and administratively with the CEO and executive leadership team to ensure robust risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the GRC and IA functions across the organization's regional operations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
  • Conduct risk assessments and internal audits, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and strengthen controls.
  • Report key findings, risks, and compliance issues directly to the Board of Directors, including providing regular updates and strategic advice.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and C-Suite executives to integrate risk management and compliance practices into organizational strategy and operations.
  • Monitor regional regulatory developments and ensure the organization's practices are aligned with applicable laws and industry standards.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, ethical behavior, and risk awareness across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within GRC and Internal Audit functions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in governance, risk management, compliance, and internal audit roles.
  • Proven track record in service-based organizations with regional coverage in the Middle East.
  • Demonstrated experience reporting to Boards of Directors and collaborating with senior executives.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, internal controls, and risk management methodologies.
  • Arabic speaker is mandatory; fluency in English is required.
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CRMA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
