We seek a creatively skilled WordPress developer to join us at KYOTO

As a vital member of our web development team, you will be responsible for developing websites using the WordPress platform, customising themes and plugins, and ensuring optimal performance. Your primary job objectives include designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting the websites, integrating WordPress websites with other web technologies, maintaining and updating existing WordPress websites, and providing technical support.

Objectives of this role

  • Developing and maintaining WordPress-based websites, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Collaborating with clients or internal teams to understand website requirements and implement functional and efficient websites.
  • Customising WordPress themes and templates to meet specific project requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to website functionality or performance.
  • Ensuring that websites are responsive, optimised and aligned with best practices in web development.

Your tasks:

  • Design, develop, and implement WordPress websites from concept to completion.
  • Customise and modify WordPress themes to achieve project goals.
  • Integrate third-party plugins and tools to enhance website features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and implement website requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance.
  • Conduct website testing and optimisation for responsiveness and speed.
  • Provide ongoing website maintenance and support as needed.
  • Stay informed about WordPress updates, security best practices and industry trends.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of demonstrable experience as a WordPress developer.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes and plugins.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP for WordPress development.
  • Experience with responsive web design and mobile-friendly website development.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and visually appealing websites.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices for website optimisation.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Certification in WordPress development or web design.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and WordPress e-commerce plugins.
  • Strong knowledge of website security best practices in India.
  • Familiarity with website performance optimisation.
  • Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2, AED3,500.00 per month
