General Accountant

Al Dairah Engineering Consultancy Company LLC – Sharjah

We are seeking a General Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling company accounts, preparing financial records in accordance with UAE accounting standards, and managing tax filings and compliance. This role also involves supporting operational and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and prepare complete company accounts in line with UAE accounting standards and regulations
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities including invoicing, expenses, receivables, payables, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare, review, and file VAT and other applicable taxes as per UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements
  • Ensure accurate financial records, documentation, and compliance with statutory requirements
  • Work closely with and report directly to the Operations Manager
  • Assist with financial reports, audits, documentation, and office coordination
  • Support daily administrative and operational tasks as required

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
  • Proven experience in handling accounts as per UAE standards
  • Hands-on experience with VAT filing and UAE tax compliance
  • UAE-based accounting/finance experience is mandatory
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
