Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Draftsman with minimum 5 years of experience in wood joinery and custom furniture/cabinetry detailing. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate technical drawings, joinery details, cutting lists, and production documents to support manufacturing and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings for wood joinery, cabinetry, furniture, and interior fit-out items.
  • Develop precise joinery details including dowels, mortise & tenon, dovetail, mitre joints, and hardware integration.
  • Create shop drawings, assembly drawings, section diagrams, and exploded views for fabrication.
  • Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs, and hardware schedules.
  • Coordinate with production, CNC operators, installation teams, and project managers to ensure drawings are clear and executable.
  • Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, company specifications, and project requirements.
  • Revise drawings based on feedback and site measurements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings.
  • Support design team on product development and prototyping when required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma/Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of drafting experience in wood joinery, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, or equivalent software.
  • Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and material properties.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and convert them into shop drawings.
  • Experience preparing CNC-ready files is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
