Position SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Department for Emergency Medicine to lead a high-performing team within a Tier 1 healthcare facility in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be a fluent Arabic speaker with a proven track record in emergency medicine leadership, clinical excellence, and departmental development. This is a strategic and operational leadership role, responsible for ensuring the delivery of world-class emergency care aligned with international standards and local healthcare priorities. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the Emergency Medicine DepartmentOversee clinical governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiativesLead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of consultants, specialists, and junior doctorsEnsure timely, efficient, and evidence-based emergency care deliveryCollaborate with hospital leadership on resource planning, budgeting, and service expansionDrive education, training, and research activities within the departmentEnsure compliance with national regulatory standards and international accreditation requirementsAct as a key liaison with internal departments, external partners, and regulatory bodiesQualifications & ExperienceMedical degree with specialization in Emergency MedicineTier 1 Board Certification (e.g., American Board, CCT, FRCP, FRCS, or equivalent)Minimum 5+ years of clinical experience, with a senior leadership roleFluency in Arabic and English is essentialProven experience in managing large emergency departments in high-acuity settingsStrong background in clinical governance, quality improvement, and team developmentFamiliarity with GCC healthcare systems and cultural context is highly desirableBenefitsCompetitive tax-free salaryHousing and transportation allowancesAnnual leave and CME allowanceFamily sponsorship and education supportRelocation assistance
