Job Summary:
The Group Payroll Executive is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across the entire group, in strict compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The role requires close coordination with HR, Finance, and Accounts teams, strong attention to detail, and absolute confidentiality in handling payroll data.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure end-to-end group payroll processing is completed accurately and within established timelines, in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Verify all payroll components including, but not limited to, attendance, overtime, leave, sales commissions, incentives, salary revisions, and other payroll elements.
- Coordinate with Human Resources, Finance, and Accounts departments to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with group policies.
- Review, inspect, and reconcile attendance and leave records, payroll entries, reports, and adjustments in the payroll system.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Finance & Accounts to ensure correct payroll coding and general ledger account mapping for each payroll cycle.
- Prepare and complete payroll audit checklists and reports for each pay period and ensure timely rectification of identified issues.
- Conduct regular audits of personal and confidential payroll records in line with corporate and legal guidelines.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of payroll information and employee data at all times.
- Assist in implementing payroll process improvements and system enhancements.
- Perform payroll reconciliation and support statutory or internal audit requirements.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned in line with the role and responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
- Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a group or multi-entity environment
- Experience working with HR and Finance teams
- Knowledge of UAE payroll practices and labor regulations is an advantage
