A private family in Al Ain is seeking a talented, experienced, and dedicated live-in Home Chef to manage all culinary needs of the household. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for and expertise in authentic Emirati cuisine, while also demonstrating versatility in preparing international dishes, healthy meals, and items for social gatherings. We are looking for a professional who takes great pride in their work, from menu planning to food presentation and kitchen hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cuisine:
  • Plan and prepare authentic, high-quality Emirati meals on a daily basis.
  • Create diverse menus for family meals and special occasions, including weekend gatherings.
  • Prepare a variety of international dishes, sandwiches, baked goods (cakes, pastries), and appetizers/mini bites.
  • Health & Nutrition:
  • Design and cook nutritious and healthy meals tailored to the specific dietary needs, preferences, and health goals of individual family members.
  • Prepare fresh juices, smoothies, and a variety of creative salads daily.
  • Presentation & Hygiene:
  • Plate and present all dishes in an appealing and professional manner.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen, including all equipment, utensils, and food storage areas.
  • Adhere to all food safety standards.
  • Kitchen Management:
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including planning grocery lists and shopping for fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with all necessary supplies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a private chef, cook, or in a similar role within a private household or high-end hospitality environment.
  • Essential: Expertise and deep knowledge of traditional Emirati cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Strong skills in baking, pastry, and preparing food for events.
  • Excellent understanding of nutrition, healthy cooking methods, and accommodating various dietary requirements.
  • Impeccable standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Creative with excellent food presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, professional, and able to work independently.
  • Trustworthy, discreet, and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
