Role Overview:

RG Group, a leading construction and development firm based in Dubai, is seeking an experienced and visionary
Project Director / Construction Director

to lead and oversee the successful execution of multiple construction projects across the region. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in strategic planning, operational oversight, and client management to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and budget control.

This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the CEO / Managing Director, responsible for aligning project delivery with the company's long-term objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Oversight:

Provide leadership and direction for the planning, execution, and delivery of all construction projects under RG Group's portfolio.

  • Project Management:

Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

  • Financial Control:

Approve project budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.

  • Contract & Negotiations:

Lead contract negotiations with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants; ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Client & Stakeholder Liaison:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, investors, and government authorities. Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships.

  • Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor project managers, engineers, and site teams. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and performance excellence.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all projects comply with local building regulations, safety codes, and environmental standards.

  • Reporting & Communication:

Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the CEO / Managing Director regarding project progress, risks, and opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale construction projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.

  • Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements, project controls, and construction methodologies.

  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget oversight and contract administration.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
