Money Petrol, a dynamic and rapidly growing financial media platform based in Dubai, is seeking a talented and experienced
Journalist – Media & Journalist

to join our editorial team. This role is ideal for a passionate storyteller with a sharp eye for detail, a deep understanding of media landscapes, and a keen interest in business, finance, and current affairs. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the voice of Money Petrol and delivering impactful, engaging content to our growing audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, pitch, and write original news articles, features, interviews, and opinion pieces aligned with Money Petrol's editorial standards.
  • Cover breaking news, press events, and industry developments relevant to finance, business, innovation, and markets.
  • Conduct thorough interviews with industry experts, executives, and stakeholders to develop credible and compelling stories.
  • Collaborate closely with editors, multimedia teams, and digital marketing to enhance content quality and visibility.
  • Ensure all content adheres to journalistic ethics, accuracy, and legal standards.
  • Monitor financial markets, government policies, and economic trends to identify stories with high reader relevance.
  • Optimize written content for digital formats including SEO, headlines, and social media sharing.
  • Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, content-driven environment without compromising quality.
  • Occasionally represent the brand at industry events, conferences, and media briefings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of
    3 years of professional journalism experience

– preferably in financial, business, or investigative reporting.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating versatile writing skills across formats (news, features, interviews, reports).
- Excellent command of English – both written and verbal.
- Deep understanding of UAE and GCC media and business environment.
- Strong editorial judgment and fact-checking ability.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, newsroom tools, SEO practices, and digital publishing workflows.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, self-driven attitude.
