We are seeking an experienced (6 to 7 years GCC ) Senior Accountant with Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B. Com, M. Com). who will be having a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial operations for a construction company in Sharjah, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budget compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations.

  • Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

  • Project Costing: Work closely with project managers to monitor and control construction project budgets, ensuring accurate allocation of costs and timely tracking of expenses.

  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee daily cash flow activities, ensuring sufficient liquidity for project needs and managing cash forecasting processes.

  • Tax Compliance: Manage VAT returns and other tax filings in compliance with UAE tax regulations.

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Supervise the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments to vendors and accurate invoicing to clients.

  • Audit & Compliance: Prepare external audits, ensuring that all financial processes comply with UAE laws and regulations.

  • Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to management to aid in decision-making and strategic planning for ongoing projects.

  • Team Supervision: (Team of 3), Mentor and supervise junior accountants, providing guidance on accounting practices and workflows.

  • Cost Management: Analyze and report on construction-related costs, helping to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency.

  • Wage Protection System: WPS payments and salary disbursements, Manage WPS compliance and reporting, Prepare and submit WPS reports and filings, - Reconcile WPS transactions and accounts.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Experience working with UAE-based construction projects and understanding the nuances of project financing and billing.

  • Familiarity with UAE labor laws and other local regulatory requirements affecting the construction industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6, AED10,000.00 per month
