Purpose and Scope of Position

To ensure that every golfer using our facilities enjoys a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome players at the 1st tee and brief them on the rules and regulations of play for the day, including GPS unit operation and pin location.
  • Distribute any complimentary giveaway items to visiting players as applicable.
  • Monitor and regulate pace of play on the course, ensuring rounds are completed within the set time guidelines.
  • Assist with player movement and starting on various parts of the course when necessary.
  • Oversee cart usage on and around the course; address any issues related to the golf cart fleet.
  • Remind players to keep carts away from mounds, sandy waste areas, and water hazards.
  • Enforce all club rules and regulations as outlined by Club Management.
  • Provide clear and confident responses to queries related to the Rules of Golf and local course rules.
  • Take the lead in organizing and managing all shotgun starts, ensuring golfers' bags are properly loaded and that the start occurs on time.
