Art Teacher

Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across the school, in line with the National Curriculum for England.
Teach one or more disciplines (Visual Arts, Fine Arts, 3D Art & Design) depending on expertise and departmental needs.
Foster creativity, teamwork, self-expression, and cultural appreciation in a safe and inclusive environment.
Use varied instructional approaches and assessment strategies to support diverse learners and track progress.
Contribute to the design and refinement of a robust Art curriculum.
Encourage student participation in arts beyond the classroom, including clubs, festivals, and competitions.
Inspire students to explore their talents and build confidence through collaboration.
Identify and nurture gifted students and provide platforms for their development.
Encourage a growth mindset and resilience
Work collaboratively with the Creative and performing Arts department and wider staff to foster a school culture that celebrates the arts.
Participate in CPD and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning in the arts.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and upcoming events.
Maintain accurate records of lessons, assessment data, and student portfolios.
Follow all school policies related to safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety in performance settings.
Ensure inclusive participation and promote diversity through arts programming.
Desired Candidate ProfileQualifications and Experience
Bachelor s degree in Fine Art, Textiles, Design Technology or a related field (required).
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or equivalent).
Additional certifications in Art and Design, Graphic Design, Textiles, Photography (desirable).
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a British or international curriculum school (preferred).
Personal Qualities
Strong passion for the arts and commitment to inclusive education.
Ability to inspire students and bring out their creative best.
Energetic, collaborative, and student-focused.
