CII-qualified underwriter
with at least
10 years of relevant experience
, responsible for managing insurance risk, policy placement, claims, and compliance across logistics and transportation operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee all insurance-related matters for logistics and transport operations, including Warehouse facilities, MHE Equipment's, fleet, liability, Freight and transit insurance.
  2. Lead underwriting reviews, risk assessments, and policy structuring to ensure optimal coverage and cost efficiency.
  3. Liaise with insurers, brokers, reinsurers, surveyors, and loss adjusters.
  4. Handle complex claims management from notification through settlement, ensuring timely and favorable outcomes.
  5. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational and financial risks associated with logistics and transport activities.
  6. Ensure compliance with UAE insurance regulations and company risk management policies.
  7. Review contracts, SLAs, and client agreements for insurance and liability exposure.
  8. Prepare insurance reports, loss analysis, and risk recommendations for senior management.
  9. Support business growth by advising on insurance solutions for new logistics projects, routes, and services.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, policy wordings, and regulatory changes.

Desired Skills required:

  1. CII Qualification (Chartered Insurance Institute) – mandatory
  2. Further specialized certification of
    CPCU, ARM shall be and advantage
  3. Minimum
    Master's degree / MBA or other relevant fields, strongly preferred
  4. Minimum
    10 years' experience
    in insurance underwriting and risk management within
    logistics and transport
  5. Strong experience in
    UAE insurance market and
    Knowledge of regional (GCC) insurance practices
  6. Experience working with multinational logistics or transport companies
  7. In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, claims handling, and risk assessment
  8. Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  9. Strong analytical, reporting, and communication abilities
  10. Excellent in English Communication (verbal & written), fluent to delivering strategic presentations to Clients / Stakeholders.
  11. Decisive and committed.
