We are looking for an experienced Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspector to conduct detailed inspections of used vehicles prior to purchase. The inspector will be responsible for identifying mechanical, structural, cosmetic, and safety issues, ensuring accurate reporting and protecting the company from hidden risks or undisclosed damage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform full pre-purchase inspections on vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and cosmetic checks
  • Use diagnostic tools and scanners to detect engine, gearbox, ECU, and system faults
  • Measure and assess paint condition using paint meters to identify repainting, bodywork, or accident damage
  • Detect accident history and structural repairs, including but not limited to:
  • Chassis damage
  • Frame repairs
  • Bulkhead repairs
  • Cut-and-weld or straightening signs
  • Evaluate engine performance, including noise, vibration, leaks, overheating, and warning indicators
  • Assess gearbox condition (automatic and manual), including shift quality, slipping, delay, or abnormal behavior
  • Conduct road test drives to identify:
  • Engine and transmission issues
  • Suspension, steering, braking, and drivetrain problems
  • Abnormal noises, vibrations, or performance issues
  • Inspect suspension, mounts, bushings, brakes, tires, and underbody condition
  • Check interior and exterior condition and note wear, damage, or inconsistencies
  • Accurately complete inspection reports in the company's standard format
  • Clearly communicate findings to the purchasing or sales team
  • Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and integrity during all inspections

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pre-purchase vehicle inspection or a similar automotive inspection role
  • Mechanical background is mandatory (automotive mechanic or technician experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Engine systems
  • Gearboxes (automatic & manual)
  • Suspension and steering systems
  • Vehicle structures and body repair methods
  • Proficient in using vehicle diagnostic tools, scanners, and paint meters
  • Proven ability to identify accident damage and structural repairs
  • Valid UAE driving license (mandatory)
  • Comfortable performing and evaluating test drives
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and inspect multiple vehicles daily
  • Honest, disciplined, and reliable

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with GCC, American, European, and Japanese vehicles
  • Familiarity with UAE used-car market standards
  • Ability to work with digital inspection systems or CRM platforms

Working Conditions

  • Field-based inspections at customer locations, yards, or offices
  • May require working outdoors and extended driving
  • Fast-paced environment with daily inspection targets

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
