You will create a safe, nurturing environment while planning engaging activities that support the children's
physical, emotional, and intellectual growth
. You'll also support early learning (numbers, reading readiness, communication, and basic math concepts) through play-based, structured routines—without a "school classroom" feel.
Key responsibilities
- Provide attentive, warm childcare in a home setting
- Plan and lead age-appropriate educational/play-based activities
- Support early learning and homework/skill-building as needed (basic math, literacy readiness)
- Encourage healthy routines (meals, hygiene, naps, play, outings where appropriate)
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals/snacks for the children
- Maintain a tidy, organized children's area (toys, learning materials, meals)
- Communicate clearly with parents on progress, routines, and needs
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience as a nanny/childcare provider in a private home
- Strong communication skills (with children and parents)
- Patient, reliable, organized, and calm under pressure
- Genuine love for working with children and creating a nurturing environment
Preferred
- Experience integrating learning activities into daily routines (early years focus)
- Knowledge of early childhood development
- Comfort supporting basic math/numeracy through play
- Relevant childcare/early childhood certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (nice to have, not mandatory)
