Construction Package Manager

Job Description
This Construction Package Manager role with Parsons Corporation in Abu Dhabi focuses on leading package-level construction delivery for a major roads and infrastructure upgrade program. The position oversees site supervision, quality, safety, progress monitoring, contractor coordination, and reporting activities, ensuring each package is delivered in line with project goals and Abu Dhabi authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold safety culture and act as a role model for safe site practices
- Oversee supervision and construction management for assigned work packages
- Ensure full compliance with construction management processes and project procedures
- Provide construction, buildability, and implementation advice to design and project teams
- Liaise with Abu Dhabi government agencies when works affect maintained public assets
- Monitor on-site progress against approved schedules and milestones, providing accurate updates to the project team
- Assist in reviewing contractor documentation including work package plans, task briefs, and commissioning plans
- Perform or oversee inspections and audits related to safety, quality, engineering compliance, environmental requirements, and commissioning
- Maintain detailed site records and communicate construction information to project stakeholders
- Identify cost-impacting issues on site and support the valuation of variations
- Escalate significant challenges through appropriate project channels for prompt resolution
- Support the Lead Construction Manager in identifying construction best practices and continuous improvement opportunities
- Provide buildability input for package-level design and construction planning
- Assist in planning and managing asset transfer to maintenance and operations teams
- Support preparation of monthly initiative-level reports, covering progress, delays, EVM performance trends, risks, issues, payments, HSE incidents, variations, claims, suspensions, inspections, tests, and disputes
- Perform additional construction management responsibilities as part of initiative-wide delivery
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor s degree in civil engineering
- Minimum 15 years of construction management experience on major design-bid-build and design-build programs
- Strong background in major road and bridge upgrade projects
- Proficiency with construction management EDMS platforms
- Good knowledge of planning and scheduling tools
- Strong communication, site coordination, and problem-solving abilities
