STRUCTURAL DRAFTSMAN
to join its Sharjah studio.

The Role

As a Structural Draftsman, you will prepare detailed structural drawings and 2D/3D models using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with building codes and project specifications. You will collaborate with engineers and architects, incorporate feedback, and maintain updated project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed structural drawings, plans, and layouts using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software, including both 2D and 3D models.
  • Prepare, update, and coordinate structural drawings and BIM models.
  • Work closely with structural engineers, architects, and other engineers to translate their designs into technical drawings and ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure all drawings and models comply with local building codes, industry standards, and legal requirements.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, project managers, and site teams.
  • Maintain accurate records, organize project files, and prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Diploma in Civil/Structural or similar.
  • 6+ years structural draftsman experience with 3D drafting software.
  • 3+ years of relevant consultancy experience in the UAE.
  • Proven experience in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, with the ability to produce and develop high-quality structural drawings and ensure effective coordination with other disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of drawing standards, file organization, and revision control procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under deadlines.
  • Participate actively in clash detection and coordination meetings to resolve interface issues between disciplines.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and its workflows for collaboration and document management.
  • Basic knowledge of building codes and structural design standards.
