Consulting Associate

Position Description : Consulting Associate (Defense, Security, and Government Programs) Location : Gulf Region (in-country based) Reports to : Project Lead / Program Director Overview Command Group is seeking highly motivated, analytical, and adaptable professionals to join its expanding portfolio of defense, security, and government transformation projects across the Gulf region .

Our projects support senior government and institutional clients on strategic planning, organizational transformation, capability development, and national resilience.

Consulting Associates will play a key role in helping deliver these programs-conducting analysis, working with expert teams to shape strategies, and producing high-quality deliverables that inform leadership decisions at the highest levels.

Ideal candidates bring a mix of intellectual curiosity, consulting discipline, and creative storytelling ability-able to turn complex ideas into clear, compelling, and visually engaging outputs.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Analysis & Research Conduct structured research and analysis on defense, security, governance, and institutional topics.

Develop frameworks, models, and scenario analyses that inform client strategy and decision-making.

Synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative inputs into actionable insights.

Consulting & Problem Solving Support the design and implementation of transformation programs, strategic plans, and capability roadmaps.

Work collaboratively with client teams to identify challenges, test hypotheses, and develop practical solutions.

Translate high-level objectives into executable workplans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.

Deliverable Production & Storytelling Lead or contribute to the creation of thoughtful, visually rich deliverables -executive reports, briefings, dashboards, and presentations that combine substance with clarity and design excellence.

Structure and synthesize complex content into logical storylines for senior stakeholders.

Collaborate with design, writing, and subject-matter experts to ensure coherence and impact.

Collaboration & Client Engagement Work alongside international consulting teams, client counterparts, and regional partners across multiple workstreams.

Participate in workshops, planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings.

Contribute to an inclusive, cross-cultural team culture focused on results, integrity, and shared purpose.

Delivery & Quality Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables, ensuring rigor, accuracy, and timeliness.

Proactively identify ways to improve products, processes, and client communications.

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, international relations, public policy, economics, security studies, or related disciplines.

3-8 years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategic analysis, policy development, or program delivery .

Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills with the ability to produce structured, polished deliverables.

Proficiency in creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations and reports that integrate visual and narrative storytelling.

Experience working with or advising public-sector, defense, or institutional clients preferred.

Prior international or Gulf-region experience is an advantage but not required.
