Role Purpose

The Director of Solutions Architecture and Bid Manager is a senior client-facing role responsible for leading the design, architecture, and technical strategy of technology solutions for enterprise and government clients. This role also serves as the technical lead for bid management, ensuring that all proposals, RFP responses, and solution designs are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with client requirements. The position bridges the gap between business and technology, combining deep technical expertise with commercial acumen to develop innovative, scalable, and competitive solutions tailored to the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design


• Lead the design and development of end-to-end solutions for enterprise clients.


• Translate business challenges into scalable technical architectures using internal capabilities and partner technologies.


• Provide strategic guidance on digital transformation, data modernization, and security frameworks.


• Ensure solution designs follow best practices, compliance standards, and cost optimization principles.

Bid Management & Technical Proposal Leadership


• Own the technical content of RFPs, RFIs, and proposals across business lines.


• Collaborate with sales, delivery, and finance teams to develop competitive and technically robust bids.


• Write or oversee technical sections of proposals, ensuring clarity, differentiation, and alignment with evaluation criteria.


• Lead bid defence presentations, customer demos, and technical clarifications.


• Maintain a repository of reusable solution components, architectures, and proposal content.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement


• Engage with leading technology vendors to co-develop solutions.


• Build trusted relationships with client CTOs, CIOs, and IT leadership to influence strategic direction.


• Mentor and guide presales and technical consultants in solutioning best practices.

Qualifications & Skills


• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise presales, or bid management within the IT or consulting industry.


• Deep technical expertise in Cloud Infrastructure, Data Platforms, AI/ML, and Cybersecurity.
• Proven experience leading large-scale RFPs and solution design engagements in enterprise or government sectors.


• Strong understanding of UAE government procurement, compliance, and data residency requirements.


• Exceptional communication, proposal writing, and presentation skills, able to convey complex solutions to executive and technical audiences.


• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.


• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Cloud Solutions Architect, TOGAF, CISSP)
