About the Role
The People and Culture Officer position is a mid-level human resources role dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing organizational culture within a dynamic PropTech environment. This role is responsible for supporting and managing a broad spectrum of HR functions, with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and cultural development tailored to the fast-paced technology sector. The position plays a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, and supporting the company's growth and innovation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, with a focus on attracting top talent in technology and property sectors.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to promote a collaborative and innovative workplace culture aligned with PropTech industry standards.
- Manage employee relations by providing guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws and company policies.
- Coordinate and facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and career growth opportunities.
- Support the design and execution of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies to foster a welcoming and equitable work environment.
- Maintain and update HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) to ensure accurate employee records, reporting, and analytics for informed decision-making.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, including benchmarking and compliance with local regulations and industry trends.
- Conduct regular culture and engagement surveys, analyze results, and recommend actionable improvements to leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational change initiatives and drive continuous improvement in people practices.
- Ensure all HR processes and documentation adhere to confidentiality, data protection, and ethical standards.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in human resources, preferably within the technology, real estate, or PropTech sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding for technical and non-technical roles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse teams.
- Experience in developing and implementing employee engagement and cultural initiatives.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and digital HR tools for data management and reporting.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain high ethical standards.
- Familiarity with DEI principles and experience supporting diversity initiatives.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, HRCI) is highly desirable.
- Additional training or coursework in organizational development, employee relations, or talent management is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is an asset.
