Job Summary:

A leading manufacturing company in Dubai is looking for an experienced and resourceful Procurement Officer to oversee all purchasing and sourcing activities related to raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and services. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in vendor management, negotiation, and supply chain operations within the UAE manufacturing or industrial sector.

The role involves managing end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery, and adherence to company quality standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Operations

• Manage the entire procurement cycle from requisition to delivery for raw materials, spare parts, packaging, consumables, and services.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and reliability.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery in coordination with warehouse and production departments.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

2. Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain a database of approved suppliers and service providers.
• Negotiate favorable payment terms, delivery schedules, and pricing structures.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and resolve any vendor-related issues promptly.
• Identify alternative vendors to ensure supply chain continuity.

3. Cost Control & Budgeting

• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Work closely with the finance department to monitor procurement budgets.
• Assist in developing annual procurement and purchasing strategies.
• Evaluate supplier quotations for best value and total cost of ownership.

4. Material Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate with production, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Track and follow up on pending orders to avoid production delays.
• Forecast procurement needs based on production schedules and sales forecasts.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, supplier contracts, and purchase records.
• Ensure adherence to UAE import/export laws and company compliance standards.
• Manage documentation for LPOs, GRNs, invoices, and supplier payments.
• Liaise with customs, freight forwarders, and clearing agents when required.

6. Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare regular procurement reports including cost analysis, vendor performance, and purchase status.
• Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities.
• Provide market intelligence on material price fluctuations and supplier risks.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–10 years of proven experience as a Procurement Officer / Buyer / Purchasing Executive in a manufacturing or industrial company in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of local and international procurement procedures, vendor sourcing, and material planning.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Odoo) and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to join immediately.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of UAE market suppliers for industrial and manufacturing materials.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation and customs clearance procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage.
