Overview

The Delivery Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and tracking delivery drivers to ensure efficient and on-time deliveries. This role requires strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign and schedule delivery orders to drivers based on location, workload, and priority.
  • Monitor driver routes in real time and ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Use dispatching systems, GPS tracking, and delivery apps to manage operations.
  • Communicate with drivers to provide route updates, delivery details, and support when issues arise.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve delivery-related complaints or delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver performance, and daily logs.
  • Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and customer service teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE traffic laws, and delivery standards.
  • Report incidents, delays, or issues to management promptly.
  • Optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a dispatcher, call center agent, or logistics coordinator (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills in English; Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of UAE roads, areas, and traffic patterns.
  • Proficiency in delivery management software (Talabat, Deliveroo, or internal systems).
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, email, CRM systems).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in shifts, including weekends or evenings if required.
