Role Purpose:

The Retail Warehouse Helper supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring efficient receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods. The role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory levels, keeping the warehouse organized, and ensuring timely movements of stock to support retail store operations. The Warehouse Helper follows all warehouse procedures, safety standards, and instructions provided by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Receiving & Inbound Operations

• Assist in unloading incoming shipments from suppliers and transport vehicles.
• Verify quantities and physical condition of items received and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Label, sort, and store items in designated warehouse locations.
• Support in completing receiving documents and ensuring proper documentation is filed.

Picking, Packing & Outbound Operations

• Pick items based on store requisitions, online orders, or transfer requests with 100% accuracy.
• Pack items safely to avoid damage during transportation.
• Assist in staging and loading outbound shipments as per the delivery schedule.
• Support replenishment of store orders in a timely and efficient manner.

Inventory Management

• Assist in regular stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly, annual).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse shelves and storage racks.
• Report any stock shortage, excess, or damaged items to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO and proper stock rotation practices.

Warehouse Housekeeping & Safety

• Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, safe, and free of obstacles at all times.
• Use warehouse equipment (trolleys, pallet jacks, ladders, scanners) safely and responsibly.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE usage, fire safety, and equipment handling procedures.
• Immediately report any safety hazards or incidents to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Support Warehouse Supervisor

• Carry out tasks assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor in line with daily operational priorities.
• Assist in reorganizing storage areas and optimizing space utilization.
• Support process improvements and contribute to a smooth workflow within the warehouse.

Requirements:

• High school certificate or equivalent (preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail operations.
• Basic understanding of warehouse processes is an advantage.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items as required.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
• Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for warehouse tasks.
