Role Summary

We are seeking a senior Laboratory Chief to lead daily laboratory execution supporting gold refining operations. This role is critical for ensuring analytical accuracy, traceability, and process integrity, and operates in close coordination with production and smelting teams.

Key Responsibilities

·      Lead daily laboratory operations including sampling, preparation, assaying, and reporting

·      Ensure analytical accuracy, result validation, and chain-of-custody discipline

·      Supervise laboratory technicians and assayers; enforce SOP compliance

·      Manage calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory equipment

·      Provide timely analytical feedback to production and smelting for process control

·      Support internal and external audits; maintain laboratory documentation and records

·      Drive continuous improvement in laboratory reliability and turnaround time

Requirements

·      Minimum 15 years of experience in gold refinery laboratory and assaying operations

·      Strong hands-on expertise in fire assay and relevant analytical techniques

·      Experience in large-scale, professionally managed refineries preferred

·      High level of integrity, precision, and documentation discipline

·      Ability to lead laboratory teams in a regulated, high-security environment

·      Currently residing in Dubai or able to relocate to Dubai
