SOC L1 Engineer

Requirement

Experience

5+ years of dedicated SOC
Level 1 experience.

Availability

24x7 Onsite
(Shift-based work in the Customer SOC).

Core Mandate

Triage, initial investigation, and management of security events within strict SLA windows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated and skilled resources to perform continuous security monitoring within the Customer's premises.
  • Utilize all existing security monitoring tools (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, TIP, NDR, etc.) to detect and handle security alerts.
  • Review events collected by security monitoring tools and conduct initial investigations in accordance with defined SLA response times.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of security events within the security monitoring tools.
  • Document the initial assessment and analysis of security alerts, declaring incidents when further investigation is required.
  • Participate actively in the shift handover process, ensuring proper documentation and continuity of active alerts.
  • Ensure the closure of false positive alerts is peer-reviewed and documented for weekly review sessions, contributing to alert quality improvement.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in event triage and initial incident verification.
  • Strong understanding of network traffic, common attack vectors, and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with standard SOC ticketing and incident management systems.
