  • Create detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings for aluminum facade systems using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications and architectural designs.
  • Develop bill of materials (BOMs) and material take-offs (MTOs) for facade components, collaborating with procurement teams to optimize material selection and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documents to understand design intent, identify potential clashes, and propose solutions for constructability.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of facade designs with other building systems and project schedules.
  • Prepare submittal packages, including shop drawings, calculations, and supporting documentation, for review and approval by architects and consultants.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify the accuracy of shop drawings and address any field issues or discrepancies that arise during installation.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of aluminum facade systems, including curtain walls, storefronts, and other related products, as well as their manufacturing processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, building codes, and best practices related to facade design and construction, incorporating them into drawings and designs.
  • Assist in the development of 3D models and renderings of facade systems, using software like Revit or similar, to visualize designs and communicate concepts effectively.
  • Provide technical support to fabrication teams, installers, and other project team members, resolving design-related questions and providing clarifications as needed.
