Brief Job Description
The Financial Controller oversees all financial operations of the hotel , ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, brand standards. The role manages financial reporting, budgeting, VAT compliance, internal controls, and cash flow, while supporting the General Manager in driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in line with USALI and UAE accounting regulations.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, ESR, and FTA requirements.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Income Audit, and General Ledger.
- Maintain strong internal controls across all hotel departments, including cash handling and inventory.
- Monitor cash flow, manage CAPEX, and protect hotel assets.
- Partner with operations and revenue teams to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
- Lead and develop the hotel's finance team.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred.
- 5–8 years of hotel finance experience, ideally within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax regulations, and hospitality systems (Opera/Micros/SunSystems).
- Excellent analytical and leadership skills.
