Role Overview

The Middle Office Analyst will support global execution teams across interest rates, FX, bonds, and listed derivatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely trade support, lifecycle event management, and coordination with clients, banks, and prime brokers. This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Support & Reconciliation

  • Ensure
    timely trade-date reconciliation
    and allocation of global trades across IRS, FX, bonds, and futures & options.
  • Validate trade bookings, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions with trading desks, clients, and counterparties.
  • Monitor trade flow from execution through settlement to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Client Interaction

  • Act as a
    primary point of contact
    for clients across global regions regarding trade confirmation, allocations, and settlement queries.
  • Provide high-quality, responsive service to institutional clients and maintain strong client relationships.

Execution Desk Support

  • Support global execution teams across asset classes with real-time trade capture and lifecycle management.
  • Provide operational insight to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce breaks.

Banking & Prime Broker Coordination

  • Manage day-to-day interactions with
    banks and prime brokers
    , including trade settlements, margin queries, and operational escalations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with operational teams at counterparties to support smooth trade flow.

Cash & Position Management

  • Oversee
    cash management
    of global positions, including reconciliations, funding requirements, and monitoring of cash balances.
  • Assist with collateral and margin oversight (if applicable).

Contract & Expiry Management

  • Monitor upcoming contract expiries for derivatives and coordinate with trading teams to ensure proper roll, close-out, or allocation.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure processes align with market conventions and internal controls.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years' experience in middle office, trade support, or operations within financial markets.
  • Strong knowledge of
    IRS, FX, bonds, and listed derivatives
    .
  • Experience working with institutional clients, brokers, banks, or prime brokers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage global stakeholders.
  • Strong numerical ability and high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with trade support platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, MarkitWire, Murex, etc.).
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a brokerage, interdealer broker, or derivatives trading environment.
  • Familiarity with Middle East markets and regulatory frameworks (DFSA/FSRA beneficial).
  • Degree in finance, economics, or a related field
