About the Role:

We are looking for a Electrical Engineer for one of our esteemed client.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project specifications. This role is crucial for our project execution and requires a professional with a strong technical background and an understanding of the Abu Dhabi regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Design: Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and specifications for projects, including power distribution, lighting, low current systems, earthing, and lightning protection, adhering to Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) codes and international standards.
  • Technical Review & Optimization: Review and optimize electrical engineering drawings and documents, ensuring compliance with design intent, project requirements, and relevant regulations.
  • Site Supervision & Quality Control: Provide technical supervision and support during the construction phase, ensuring electrical installations conform to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
  • MEP Coordination: Collaborate effectively with Mechanical and Plumbing engineers to ensure seamless integration and coordination of electrical systems within overall MEP designs, resolving any conflicts or clashes.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Approvals: Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with ADM, ADDC/DEWA, and other relevant local authority regulations. Assist in securing necessary approvals and permits throughout project lifecycle.
  • Problem Solving & Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues encountered during design, construction, and commissioning phases. Provide expert technical advice and solutions to project teams.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design justifications, progress reports, and maintain accurate project documentation and records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the building and construction sector.
  • Mandatory: Proven experience in securing and holding Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) approval/registration as an Electrical Engineer. (Candidates without this approval will not be considered.)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, relevant codes, and standards (e.g., IEC, BS, NEC, and local ADM regulations).
  • Experience with MEP systems is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Indian nationality is preferred due to project-specific requirements.
