Acveti is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, build, and manage scalable data platforms. The role involves developing reliable batch and real-time data pipelines, supporting analytics and business intelligence use cases, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines on Microsoft Azure for internal and external data sources
  • Build robust ingestion frameworks for batch and streaming data
  • Develop and orchestrate workflows using Azure Databricks
  • Design, build, and optimize Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts
  • Ensure scalability, performance, security, and reliability of cloud-based data platforms
  • Collaborate with solution architects, backend engineers, and data governance teams
  • Implement and optimize data lake zones including raw, curated, and consumption layers
  • Integrate cloud data solutions with on-premises systems
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications

Technical Responsibilities

  • Develop high-performance data transformations using Python and PySpark
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytical workloads
  • Build and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory
  • Implement Delta Lake architectures for efficient data storage and processing
  • Optimize cloud storage and compute for cost and performance
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in SQL, Python, and PySpark
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure data services
  • Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Delta Lake
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience designing and maintaining end-to-end cloud data architectures

Preferred / Secondary Skills

  • Experience with Data Governance tools, particularly Informatica
  • Exposure to enterprise data governance and compliance frameworks
