Qa Qc Welding Engineer with Oil and Gas

Role & responsibilities NEED QA QC Welding Engineer in EPC Projects exp in Oil and Gas Industry with Quality, Inspection and Testing of Welding Thorough knowledge.

Qualification -

• Must be Graduate in Bachelor of Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Professional certification in welding engineering (IWE, CWE, or another acceptable

equivalent (approved by Company).

• ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, and PT.

Experience - Min years with Age upto 49 yrs in welding related activities within the Oil & Gas Project environment.

Job Description:

1. Full knowledge on Quality and Inspection & Testing requirements related to Welding and Procedure Qualifications and ensure that same are effectively implemented in the project.

2. Familiar in Identifying required WPS for the Project as per Pipeline Schedule / Pipeline MTO & Piping MTO in line with Project Specification Requirements.

3. Knowledge in Selection of welding consumables and to review the test certificates for the compliance of project specification and COMPANY standard / specifications.

4. Experience in conducting required WPQT and WQT in line with Project specification and COMPANY standard / specifications.

5. Familiar in identifying required mechanical testing and corrosion testing to qualify WPQT for Pipeline, Piping, storage Tank, Vessels, Cladding, Structural welding activities, etc.

6. Exhaustive knowledge in qualification of Welding Procedure Qualification of various material grade like CS, LTCS SS, SSS, DSS, SDSS, Alloy, Nickel alloy, Cu-NI, Titanium, cladding, etc.

7. Full command on identification / finalization of applicable welding consumables / filler materials of various material grade like CS, LTCS SS, DSS, SDSS, Super Austenitic Stainless Steel (SSS), Alloy, Nickel alloy, Cu-Ni, Titanium, cladding, etc. based on material properties and chemical composition requirements in line with project specification, applicable International standards, etc.

8. Thorough knowledge in preparation / Finalization of different dissimilar welding procedures qualification like CS to Austenitic Stainless Steel, CS to Ferritic Low Alloy, Ferritic Low Alloy to SS, SS to Alloy, CS to Nickel Alloy inline with Project welding specification and applicable International standard requirements.

9. Familiar in Welding Procedure Qualification in Weld overlay cladding and Field welding (Pipeline & Piping) at site in accordance with project specification requirements.

10. Exhaustive knowledge in preparation of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Welding Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and Welder Performance Qualification Records (WPQR) in line with required standard / project specification applicable for the project.

11. Planning and selection of welding equipment, prepare and maintain calibration registers.

12. Conduct Qualification Tests for welders and maintain records of qualification and timely renewal of welder cards/ certificates.

13. Experience in Monitoring and reporting welder performance and weld repair rate and action plan to mitigate, if the same are not in line with Project Quality System requirements as per Project Objectives / KPIs.

14. Familiar in conducting Root cause analysis of weld repairs and to propose and implement corrective actions to reduce the repair rate to acceptance level in line with PROJECT Quality System requirements.

15. Experience in providing training and educating welding inspectors and welders for the compliance of project quality system requirements.

16. Experience in conducting tool box meeting with Welders and ensure the repair rate shall be in line with specification requirements.

17. Knowledge in Plan and execution of productivity improvement during fabrication and field welding.

18. Familiar in quantifying / calculating Welding consumables required for Pipeline, Piping, Structural, Tankage, Cladding as per Project scope of welding activities.

19. Prepare and maintain the welding documentation, approval testing and records.

20. Knowledge in all NDT activities like UT, MT and PT, PMI, Ferrite, etc and further evaluation of discontinuities during inspections at site.

21. Familiar in preparation and qualification of welding repair procedures of various material grades like CS, LTCS, SS, DSS, SDSS, Alloy, Nickel alloy, cladding, etc.

22. Fluent English lingual skills.

Its a Permanent job, with 3 month notice period. 10 Hrs. duty / 6 days week schedule. Food Accommodation and transportation provided by company. Yearly 30 days leave with return ticket.
