Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in off-plan real estate development accounting in the UAE. This role requires complete ownership of the financial cycle — from project launch to handover — including escrow compliance, RERA reporting, milestone-based revenue recognition, and liaison with banks and government authorities.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of leading audits, managing multiple development projects, and providing financial insights to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting cycle for off-plan development projects from launch to handover.
  • Monitor milestone revenue recognition, cost control, income statements, and project cash flows.
  • Oversee escrow/retention/Oqood account setup and compliance, with hands-on TAS experience.
  • Handle AP/AR, GL postings, reconciliations, month-end closing, and project cost accounting (WIP, advances, retentions).
  • Prepare financial budgets and forecasts at both corporate and project levels.
  • Liaise with DLD, banks, and lenders for funding, mortgages, and project finance.
  • Support contracting activities including agent, contractor, and consultant agreements.
  • Maintain VAT registers, support quarterly VAT filing, and manage VAT refund submissions.
  • Assist in RERA, statutory, FTA, and corporate tax audits with required reports.
  • Prepare feasibility studies and financial models as requested by management.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE accounting standards, mainly for revenue recognition.
  • Coordinate with sales & collections teams; track receivables and SOAs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

(ACCA/CA/CPA or Master's preferred).

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience, including 3+ years in UAE off-plan real estate accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of RERA, DLD, TAS, Escrow, and UAE VAT regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting/ERP systems (QuickBooks, Odoo, advanced Excel required).
  • Experience in financial modeling, feasibility studies, and project-based reporting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10, AED12,000.00 per month
