Position Title: Mason

Department: Maintenance / Civil Works

Reports To: Project Manager / Site Supervisor

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Position Summary

The Mason is responsible for carrying out all types of masonry, tiling, and plastering works, along with assisting in general maintenance activities such as minor plumbing, painting, and repair tasks. The ideal candidate should have solid experience working in building maintenance and renovation projects across the UAE, with the flexibility to support multiple trades when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of masonry works including:
  • Block work, plastering, rendering, and brick laying
  • Tile fixing and grouting (walls and floors)
  • Interlock, curbstone, boundary wall, and concrete repair works
  • Carry out general building maintenance and repair tasks as needed, such as:
  • Minor plumbing and drainage repairs
  • Small painting touch-ups or surface preparation
  • Basic civil and finishing repair works (crack filling, sealing, etc.)
  • Support other team members (electricians, plumbers, painters) in multi-trade maintenance jobs.
  • Follow daily work instructions and site drawings as provided by the Project Manager or Supervisor.
  • Mix materials (cement, plaster, grout) to correct ratios and ensure good finish quality.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workplace cleanliness at all times.
  • Follow company safety policies, wear PPE, and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report material requirements, site issues, or damage immediately to the supervisor.
  • Assist in estimation and material quantity calculations when requested.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of UAE experience as a Mason in maintenance, renovation, or fit-out projects.
  • Skilled in both structural and finishing masonry works.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance tasks and ability to assist in multiple trades.
  • Able to read and follow simple drawings and technical instructions.
  • Familiar with UAE building materials and standards.
  • Basic understanding of safety and worksite procedures (OSHAD awareness preferred).
  • Physically fit, reliable, and able to work independently or within a team.
  • Positive attitude, punctuality, and willingness to learn additional trade skills.
