We are looking for a motivated and aspiring Commis Chef to join our culinary team. The Commis Chef will work closely with our experienced chefs to gain hands-on experience in various kitchen stations. This entry-level position is ideal for someone passionate about the culinary arts and eager to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment.

**Responsibilities:**

  1. **Food Preparation:**

  2. Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place under the guidance of senior chefs.

  3. Learn and execute basic cooking techniques to contribute to the production of high-quality dishes.

  4. **Station Support:**

  5. Work alongside Chef de Partie and other team members to ensure smooth operation of kitchen stations.

  6. Follow instructions and guidelines provided by senior chefs to maintain consistency in dish preparation.

  7. **Kitchen Organization:**

  8. Keep workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked with ingredients and tools.

  9. Assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.

  10. **Learning and Development:**

  11. Actively engage in training opportunities provided by senior chefs to enhance culinary skills.

  12. Seek feedback and use it constructively to improve performance and skills.

  13. **Collaboration:**

  14. Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

  15. Support senior chefs during peak service times and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.

  16. **Quality Control:**

  17. Pay attention to detail in food presentation and assist in quality control checks.

  18. Learn to identify and address issues related to food quality and consistency.

**Qualifications:**

  • Culinary school education or equivalent culinary training is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

  • Enthusiastic attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for the culinary arts.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

  • Good communication skills and a team player mentality.

  • Adherence to health and safety standards in a kitchen setting.
