Role Overview:
We are seeking a
Manager – Risk and Compliance
to lead internal audit, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives across academic and administrative functions. This role reports to the DGM – Legal, Risk & Compliance and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute internal audits; assess financial, operational, and academic controls.
- Identify risks, compliance gaps, and inefficiencies; recommend and monitor corrective actions.
- Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and maintain risk registers.
- Ensure adherence to UAE education regulations, internal policies, and international standards.
- Promote ethics, data privacy, research integrity, and anti-bribery compliance.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership and coordinate with auditors and regulators.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications preferred: CIA, CRMA, CISA, CPA, or equivalent is preffered.
- 5+ years of experience in
risk, compliance, or internal audit within the education sector
(school, university, or academy). UAE experience is a must. - Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk frameworks (ISO 31000), and UAE compliance standards.
