Job Description
Skilled EV/CPMS Functional Analyst & System Administrator to support our Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure and Charge Point Management System (CPMS). This role combines business analysis, technical implementation, and system administration to ensure the smooth operation, enhancement, and integration of EV charging solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document functional and technical requirements related to EV charging infrastructure and CPMS.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.
  • Support system design, configuration, and integration of CPMS with other enterprise systems.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), issue tracking, and resolution.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, API specifications, user guides, and training materials.
  • Monitor system usage, performance, and reporting metrics to recommend improvements.
  • Stay current on EV charging protocols (OCPP, OCPI), smart grid technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Manage and maintain the EV Charge Point Management platform, ensuring uptime, system security, and optimal performance.
  • Monitor real-time status of charging stations, troubleshoot operational issues, and coordinate with technical teams for maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide user support by assisting EV users, resolving queries related to charging sessions, billing, and account management.
  • Manage user access, roles, permissions, and security settings within CPMS platforms.
  • Monitor system health, performance, backups, and apply patches or updates as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CPMS hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT teams for system upgrades, integrations, and incident management.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and data privacy regulations.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in IT software related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in EV/CPMS implementation and operations
  • Hands-on experience with EV Charge Point Management Systems and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Perl, Bash, Ruby is preferred.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and API lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of EV communication protocols including OCPP/OCPI.
  • Strong database skills (SQL and NoSQL) for data manipulations for business and operational reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
