This opportunity is for a leading Energy & Gas giant in the UAE. We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to champion the use of AI and analytics within the organization. You will provide technical leadership, mentor a team of data scientists, and define the strategic direction for high-impact analytics projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage data science projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Interface with senior stakeholders to identify high-value use cases and define the scope of analytics initiatives.
  • Oversee the selection of appropriate methodologies and algorithms for complex projects.
  • Review code and models developed by the team to ensure quality and robustness.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data science, including reproducibility and documentation.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in AI/ML and assess their potential impact on the business.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5–15+ Years.
  • Extensive experience in developing and deploying machine learning solutions in a corporate environment.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and projects effectively.
  • Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning and statistics.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executive leadership.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum).

Bonus

  • Experience leading data science teams in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Track record of publishing technical papers or speaking at industry conferences.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of energy market dynamics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED12, AED22,000.00 per month
