Purchasing Officer

Job Description

Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a knack for negotiation? Join our team as a Purchasing Officer and play a vital role in ensuring we secure the best materials and services to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Officer, your primary focus will be managing the procurement process efficiently and effectively. This includes:

  • Supplier Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Resolve issues related to invoices, shortages, or damaged goods promptly with suppliers.
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new product developments to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Procurement Execution:
  • Request and compare quotations, negotiate terms, and finalize purchase orders.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and essential documentation in line with company policies.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to maintain optimal inventory.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of materials to prevent production or service delays.
  • Internal Coordination & Reporting:
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments (e.g., sales, finance) to accurately understand material requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance in our ERP system.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of prior experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Technical: Strong knowledge and skill in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advantageous: Experience in the purchase of FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or Food products is a significant plus.

Salary Range

  • AED 3,500 - 5,000 (All-inclusive, based on experience).
