We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of our company. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring timely processing, and supporting overall financial operations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and a thorough understanding of accounting procedures.
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match purchase orders with invoices and ensure proper documentation
- Prepare and process check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or issues
- Maintain and update vendor records
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Generate customer invoices and send them out promptly
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply customer payments to accounts correctly and timely
- Handle billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies with clients
- Reconcile AR aging reports and maintain accurate records
General:
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes
- Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times
