Position:
  Mid - Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities Include:


• Analysis and determination of power system requirements at substation level including IEDs, control and protection, RTUs, SCMS and auxiliary systems.


• Designing SCADA systems for electrical substations (generation, transmission and distribution) including IED, substation automation systems, SCMS systems, and RTU systems.


• Configuration, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of above mentioned systems.


• Project management.


• Providing necessary supervision, support and training for junior engineers to execute the projects within specified time frame and expected level of quality.


• Technical analysis during tendering stage and producing of necessary documents such as bill of quantity and technical proposals for SCADA and Automation.


• Create/update/approve system drawings and as-built documents.


• Analyze, test and document software and hardware platforms as new versions become available or new technology is required. Make recommendations and modify or create documentation to support the updates where necessary.

Experience Requirements:


• Understanding of control systems such as Substation Automation System (SAS), Remote Terminal Units (RTU), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and IEDs.


• Experience with real-time process control/communications and, communication protocols. Also knowledgeable with computer networking hardware such as hubs, routers, and switches.


• Understanding of protective relaying concepts.


• Understanding of communication protocols like IEC , 103, 104, DNP3.0, Modbus and IEC 61850.


• Understanding of SCADA applications such as EMS, DMS and real time applications.


• Ability to read and develop control schematic and wiring diagrams.


• Ability to conduct testing and commissioning.


• Excellent ability on Microsoft Project in terms of cash flow management, human resource management, document management, stakeholder management and other project management aspects.


• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly interact with project team members, other internal personnel, clients, contractors and vendors.


• Excellent ability in Microsoft applications with advanced spreadsheet, word processing and presentation techniques.

Education Requirements:


• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering.


• Training Certificate from well-known RTU or Substation Automation System suppliers like ABB, Siemens, Lucy, Ids, etc. is an advantage.


• PMP Certificate is preferred.
