We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Consultant to join our team in an accounting and tax consulting firm. The Senior Consultant will play a key role in delivering high-quality consulting services to clients, focusing on accounting, taxation, and financial advisory. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Advisory:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored accounting and tax solutions.
  • Provide strategic advice on tax compliance, planning, and optimization strategies.
  • Assist clients with complex financial reporting and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Accounting & Financial Oversight:
  • Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements, management reports, and other key deliverables.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting processes for clients.
  • Advise on accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and recommend best practices.
  • Tax Consulting:
  • Manage VAT/GST returns, corporate tax filings, and other statutory obligations.
  • Conduct tax audits and represent clients in discussions with regulatory authorities.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Manage and allocate resources efficiently across multiple client projects.
  • Conduct training sessions to keep the team updated on accounting and tax regulations.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the firm's growth by building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and engagement letters for prospective clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to provide proactive advice to clients.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Streamline accounting and tax processes for clients to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement and advise on accounting software and technology solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. .
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in accounting, tax consulting, or auditing roles, with at least 2 years in a senior/leadership position.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho) and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT/GST, corporate tax laws, and accounting standards.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with international taxation and cross-border transactions.
  • Familiarity with business valuation, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific accounting and tax issues (e.g., real estate, trading, or manufacturing sectors).
