About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to join our dynamic corporate banking team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and assessing credit risk across a portfolio of SME and Mid-Corporate clients, ensuring sound credit decisions that align with the bank's risk appetite and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and approve credit proposals for SME and Mid-Corporate clients within delegated authority levels.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, cash flow projections, and industry assessments to support credit recommendations.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identifying early warning signals and recommending proactive measures to mitigate risk.
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers to structure appropriate credit facilities tailored to client needs while ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in credit committees and provide expert input on credit risk and portfolio trends.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of credit processes, risk models, and reporting frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, or FRM) is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in credit analysis or credit management within the banking sector, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
  • Strong understanding of SME and Mid-Corporate lending, trade finance, and structured facilities.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations and local market dynamics.
